What is a kcal? When I look at a box of International Coffees, they are more like 70 or 80 cal/serving. I sure don’t want 338 cal/serving of your recipe – though I really want to try yours. Thank you!

Because I have 4 adults who drink the mocha version of international coffee, I was wondering if you know the recipe for that one. I can’t seem to find it.

Ok, question about the recipe, could I successfully swap out and use dry milk and powdered sugar for the creamer (I’m assuming dry instant creamer) and sugar (and I’m assuming regular grained sugar)? Additionally, do you have any suggestions for powder substitutes for the hard candies?

My idea is to make these and place these home made mixes in the containers that I had bought with the original product in them once they are used up – re-purposing them for my new recipe mixes found on this page!

I don’t really know about how to offer suggestions for the hard candies unless you switch to a liquid creamer. They are the best vehicle for flavor I can think of.

Thank You! Been drinking the Viennese for 2 days now and can’t get enough of it. I did use dried milk instead of dried non-fat creamer since I am trying to get away from the trans and hydro fats and was quite pleased with the results. The one thing I would suggest is using regular dried milk and not NON-FAT. The little bit of fat makes a difference!

My Store just replaced the International House ones with these large cans of Maxwell House coffees – did Maxwell House coffees buy out International House?

Can’t wait to try your recipes. I can easily wipe out a can of this in a week and with a can costing near $4 this will be a treat to make and use. The more recipes you can create, PLEASE DO!

    They look great!

I’m looking for a Cafe Francais recipe as well, Jhorne. I haven’t tried it yet, but I did find this one:
    3/4 c instant coffee
    1 Tbsp sugar
    1 1/2 c creamer
1 3/4 oz instant French vanilla pudding.
Blend in blender/food processor until powdery. Use 2 tsp./cup.

It is always disappointing when you can no longer get your favorite product in the store.

If a person used the whole dry milk and then used Splenda in the bag (not the little packets) wouldn’t this make a great substitute? Getting away from the dried Coffee Creamer would be a way to get away from HIDDEN SUGARS and leaving it taste good in the process.
I LOVE the substitute that I made using powdered milk instead of dried creamer – the one thing to look out for is to use whole milk instead of fat free. That little bit of fat is needed to boost flavor.

I’ve seen Kroger has their own version of that I believe it’s in sugar free also

Try using cocomonkey instead of sugar in recipe…if ya want sugarless. Cocomonkey is available at some stores. It’s coconut sugar and monk fruit. It doesn’t raise blood sugar.

Are these amounts for 1 cup of drink or what are the instructions for making a cup?
Standard coffee cup sizes are about 1 cup. ~Stephanie
